Seeing as I am dredging up this old site I might just dredge up some old work too.  I wrote the following while backpacking through Spain some time ago.  I thought I would be appropriate as the projects PA has gotten involved in have changed somewhat.  Still wrestling with ideas just doing it over a different muse these days.  Enjoy the words.

I have seen the great palace of El Escorial
Turned into a monastery
I have seen the fortified walls of Avila
Laid sieged to by a city
And came to know things change.

I have witnessed the famed bull fights of Las Ventas
I have walked the galleries of Del Prado,
And have found beauty and violence inseparable.
